JEE Main Exam Date 2022: (out) Registration, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Adimit card and more Information

JEE Main 2022 Application Form has been released. Exam Date for 1st and 2nd session has been announced. For first session, the exam will be conducted from 16th April to 21st April 2022 and the second session from 24th May to 29th May 2022. JEE Main is a national level entrance exam organised by NTA every year. It is an engineering entrance test organized all over India for the engineering aspirants. By qualifying this exam, candidates will get admission in B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch/ B.Plan courses into top known engineering institutions like IITs, NITs, CFTIs, etc. As per the new changes introduced, this exam will be now conducted two times – in the months of April & May. The exam will be held separately for Paper 1 (B.Tech/ B.E) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B.Plan). JEE Main Application Form 2022:

NTA has released the JEE Main 2022 application form at the official website. The authorities opens the JEE Main 2022 registration process separately for both session, students can apply for all the sessions in one go.

How to Fill the Application Form Of JEE Main 2022:

Applicants need to follow the steps below to complete the JEE Main application form

  • At the first visit the official web portal of the JEE Main or NTA.
  • After that Click on the “Fill JEE Main 2022 Application Form”.
  • Now, fill the online application form carefully with the correct details only.
  • And then be ready with the scanned photograph, signature, and the left thumb impression required to be uploaded while filling the application form.
  • Now pay the requisite application fees after entering all information of yours.
  • At the last take the hard copy of the filled-in application form for future use.

Application Fees:

Applicants must pay the required application fees to complete the application form process. Registration fees can only be submitted online. The fees structure for the JEE Main 2022 mentioned below is that of last year’s entry fees:

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

Before filling out the online application form for JEE Main 2022, candidates should make sure they meet the eligibility criteria. Read the details brochure carefully to make sure you meet all of the eligibility requirements. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be qualified for JEE Main exam:

Criteria for Eligibility:

  • In the years 2021 or 2022, applicants must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute.
  • Candidates who took the 12th class exam in 2019 but did not pass the exam are ineligible to take the exam again, even though they pass the exam later.
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be required subjects in the qualifying test.
  • Candidates who take the qualifying exam will also be considered.
  • Candidates who have completed three-year diploma programs will be accepted as well.
  • Specified Number of Attempts
  • The number of attempts permitted for JEE Main is limited to three. It means that if a candidate fails to pass JEE main in the first attempt, he or she will take the next two exams.

Admissions to IITs, NITs, and CFTIs are based on the following criteria:

For admission to IITs, NITs, and CFTIs, candidates must achieve a minimum of 75% in their 12th examination or be in the top 20%ile of their respective boards. SC/ST applicants, on the other hand, must achieve a minimum score of 65 percent.

JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern:

  • Exam mode: JEE Main will be held in online computer-based test mode. However, the drawing test of paper 2 will be held in pen and paper mode.
  • Papers: There will be two papers in JEE Main – Paper I for B.E/ B.Tech and Paper II for B.Arch & B.Plan.
  • Time Duration: Time of 3 hrs will be provided to complete the paper. For PWD candidates 1 hour will be provided extra.
  • Type of Questions: There will be objective type of questions in the exam. The drawing paper will be subjective in nature.
  • Language: JEE Main paper can be attempted by the students in various languages. These languages are – Hindi, English, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese, Marathi, Odia, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu and Telugu.
  • Total Questions: There will be total 90 questions in Paper I (B.E/ B.Tech) and 82 questions in Paper IIA (B.Arch) and 105 questions in Paper IIB (B.Plan).
  • Marks: Paper I (B.E/ B.Tech) will be of 300 marks; Paper IIA (B.Arch) and Paper IIB (B.Plan) will be of total 400 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 4 marks will be given. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. From this year there will be negative marking also in Section B. -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. In section B, for each for each question enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in designated place to enter answer. The answer must be rounded off to the nearest integer.

CAT EXAM 2019 is a pre-requisite for admission to various Post Graduate and Fellow programmes of IIMs. CAT EXAM 2019 scores are allowed to be used by listed non-IIM member institutions. A list of such institutions is provided on the CAT website. IIMs have no role in the selection process of non-IIM institutions.

# CAT EXAM 2019 ELIGIBILITY

Please refer to the detailed notification on the CAT website. Applicants should note that there fulfilment of the minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IIMs.

RESERVATIONS Refer to the CAT website for information regarding reservation of seats for various categories of applicants. No change in the category will be entertained after CAT registration; hence, the applicants are advised to pay attention while registering.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/Institution. If any University/Institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.

Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process. For more details on eligibility, candidates are advised to visit the “CAT 2019 Eligibility” section of the CAT website. Candidates should note that the mere fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria would not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IIMs.

# CAT EXAM 2019 REGISTRATION FEES

₹950 for SC, ST and PWD category candidates.

₹1900 for all other categories of candidates.

Please note that a candidate needs to pay the registration fees only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

# CAT EXAM 2019 ADMISSION PROCESS

Please note that each IIM is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-offs and relative weights) and follow different selection processes. Performance in the CA 2019 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process.

IIMs may also use the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short-listing of candidates at various stages of the selection process. For more information, refer to the admissions policies of individual IIMs on their respective websites.

Candidates, intending to apply for CRP SPL-VII should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS in this advertisement:
